Hey! Thank you so much. That’s lovely of you to say. I’m not sure which drawing you’re referring to exactly, perhaps the demon!dean one? Either way, I’ve honestly only ever worked with watercolour paints once.
I don’t know if you already know, but I rely on textures from deviantart to get the watercolour effect the way I want it. It’s lazy and I’d much rather be using the real thing, but like you, I’m worried about ruining the line art. So I basically import my drawings into Photoshop and add the watercolour texture afterwards, removing any areas I don’t want to show up with either the selection or eraser tool. I hope that helps lovely.
Well I am thrilled to hear that you like my art enough to want to use it as a sidebar, because that is quite possibly one of the greatest requests that a struggling amateur artist can ever hope to receive here.
I’m really surprised by how well that portrait seems to be taking off at the moment! It only had around 15 notes to begin with, for weeks and weeks. Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment and of course it’s okay you lovely thing! I really appreciate you asking, and you have my highest respect. <3
Recently I’ve been extremely overwhelmed with kind asks and new followers, and I’d like to thank you all so much.
I haven’t had a lot of time to post new works, so my blog is rather empty and mainly consists of older drawings that maintain plentiful flaws, even more so than the newer ones. I’m sorry that this is the case, and that your dashboards are being flooded with asks and text posts alone.
I love drawing but I’m having one of those blocks when I can’t seem to draw anything in proportion. Not helpful when I was wanting to create an entry for the supernatural art book project (I’d link to it but I’m on mobile bleh). Needless to say, I will try to keep this blog updated for you guys. It’s the least I could do to say thanks. I really appreciate the encouragement and although I feel that some of your comments are a little off the mark, they put a big smile on my face regardless.
Oh my god anon, you’re an absolute sweetheart. I am incredibly humbled and extremely lucky to have received feedback like this over the past couple of days and I can’t thank you enough. I often feel that I can’t draw anything and that my art sucks in comparison to others, so messages like these can really drive me to continue and in some ways improve. Don’t apologise. Thank you.
Well I wouldn’t go that far but thank you so much lovely, that really means a lot to me.
That’s okay darl, you are crazy talented. Oh I think it is most definitely crart ;) But yes hello from the UK, tumblr twin! <3
Oh wow. Thank you so so much. You have no idea how much this means to me because I am constantly trying to improve and I often get frustrated, so knowing that people actually appreciate my art means a hell of a lot. <3
